Day 1 Arrival to Sri Lanka

Ayu-bowan! Welcome to Sri Lanka. Your adventure begins in the town of Negombo, located close to Bandaranaike International Airport.

After you exit Colombo International airport, Mango Vacations guide will meet you at Arrival lobby in the airport and take you to a luxurious and comfortable vehicle and drive you to Negombo which will be your first stop for this Adventure Tour in Sri Lanka. Negombo is home to a very friendly and bustling fishing community. While there, visit the Dutch Canal, also called the Hamilton Canal, which used to be part of the colonial spice route used by the Dutch East India Company. The canal connects the coast with the Negombo Lagoon and can be visited on foot or by boat. It’s a great look into old colonial Sri Lanka living.

Day 2- 3 Anuradhapura

Day 1

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Anuradhapura (4Hours Driving). En route, visit the Fishing Villages in Negombo. Something that you should not miss’ experience the ancient culture of Sri Lanka. The Cultural Triangle is an area in the Central Highlands that includes the ancient temples of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, as well as the mountain city of Kandy.Anuradhapura, one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka. The city is now a world heritage site according to the UNESCO.it remained one of the most stable and durable centres of political power and urban life in South Asia. It was also a wealthy city which created a unique culture and a great civilization. The ruins consist of three classes of buildings, dagebas (stupas), monastic buildings, and royal ponds. Evening, visit Sri Maha Bodhi & Ruwanveli Maha Seya Stupa. (Evening time is more suitable to visit these shrines for a deeper insight into ways of Buddhism and its local practices). Check in to the hotel and relax.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Mid Morning, transfer to enjoy a Jeep safari at Wilpattu National Park. Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka’s largest national park, spans an impressive 1317 square kilometers. It is a haven for elusive leopards, sloth bears, elephants, nearly 150 varieties of birds, and numerous other animals, making Wilpattu National Park an ideal destination for wildlife enthusiasts eager to experience Sri Lanka’s rich biodiversity. Thereafter, Return to the hotel and relax.

Day 4 Jaffna

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Jaffna. En route, visit Isurumuniya Temple, (famous for special carvings on stone) and the other historical places in Anuradhapura. Thereafter, continue the journey to Jaffna. Check in to the selected Hotel. Evening, City tour including the Nallur Kovil. (One of the main temples of the Hindu devotees and Jaffna City) Jaffna is the capital city of the Northern Province of Sri Lanka . Return to the hotel.

Day 5 Trincomalee

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Trincomalee. En route, visit Point Pedro (which is the longest point in the north of the country) & Keerimalai (famous for its freshwater pools with healing effects)

Afterthat, continue the journey to Trincomalee. Trincomalee is known for its large natural harbour which is regarded as the world’s second best harbour of its kind. Being on the east, almost any beach in Trincomalee is best for watching the first light of dawn. Check in to the hotel. Walk around the hot water pools and get a glimpse of the urban life in the East Coast. Return to the hotel and relax.

The first Buddhist stupa of Sri Lanka was built in Trincomalee, and it is believed that Princess Hemamala and Prince Dantha landed on the island with the sacred tooth relic in this region. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Ella. Your hotel is located in Ella with the view of most famous Ella Rock. Check in to the hotel & Relax. Ella is a small village in the highlands of Sri Lanka which is filled with tea estates, mountains, waterfalls and of course with some good air to breath.

Evening, Descover the Nine Arch Bridge & Ravana Waterfall in Ella. The Nine Arches Bridge also called the Bridge in the Sky, is a viaduct bridge in Sri Lanka. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. It is in Demodara, between Ella and Demodara railway stations. Return to the hotel and Relax.

Day 15 - 16 Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Nuwara Eliya by Train.

Enjoy a Train Ride from Ella to Nanu Oya. (Morning Train – around 7.00 am) (Note: Train ticket seats will depend on availability. 1st, 2nd and 3rd class seats are bookable 30 days before the train journey date.).

A ride that takes you through some of the best views of the hill country in Sri Lanka. A “must see and experience” for any tourist.

On this day, you will be driving to Nuwara elliya. Evening, City tour inculding the Tea Plantation and Factory (try some fresh variety of tea), Lover’s Leap Waterfall, Victoria Park & Gregory Lake. Nuwara Eliya is often referred as ‘Little England’ because many of the buildings are from the British colonial period, such as the Queen’s Cottage, Grand Hotel, Hill Club and Town Post Office. Sri Lanka, Tea and Tourism are words which cannot be separated. Head for the cold and misty hills. Enjoy the heavenly scent and make sure to end your day in style over cool climate. Day 2

Ealry Morning, we will be driving to Horton plains National park with a packed breakfast. Evening, we will explore the centre. This little town is covered with many bars and restaurant for you.

Day 17 Kandy

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Kandy. (Second largest city)

En route, Ramboda WaterFalls. Ramboda Falls is a spectacular waterfall located near the town of Pussellawa in Sri Lanka’s Central Province. It’s situated along the Ramboda Pass, which connects the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts, making it a popular stop for travelers exploring the hill country.

Afterthat, visit the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya. You will be staying in hotel with wonderfull view. Check in to the selected hotel. Evening, City tour inculding the Temple of the tooth & the cultural dance show in Kandy. The Temple of the Tooth, also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa, is one of the most sacred Buddhist temples in the world, located in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha, which is believed to be enshrined within the temple complex. This relic holds immense religious significance for Buddhists around the globe, and the temple itself is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Retrun to the hotel.

Day 18 - 19 Sigiriya

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Sigiriya. En route, visit the Hindu temple & the most famous Spice Garden in Matale. Afeterwards, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple. The Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the central part of Sri Lanka. It’s renowned for its impressive cave complex, which houses ancient statues and paintings that date back to the 1st century BC.

Day 2

Early morning, with the noise of birds …time to wake up… get the hiking shoes, grab your camera and head to climb the incredible Sigiriya Lion Rock. Sigiriya is one of the most famous and attractive places in Sri Lanka. Sigiriya means Lion’s Rock. The height of the rock is around 200 meters. According to the history of Sri Lanka this rock was used as a kingdom in Sri Lanka by king Kashyapa in the 5th century. Promise you… it’s going to be an amazing day. See the ancient wall paintings, the sanskrit marked mirror wall and the huge stone lion paws guarding the ascent to the summit. The views from the top are unrivalled as you travel through time examining the ruins. From here you can view the national parks of Minneriya and Kaudulla where you can see the life of elephants.

Return to the hotel for Breakfast. Late Afternoon, transfer to enjoy a Jeep safari to Minneriya or Kaudulla National Park. (Note: Depending on the date of travel the safari will take place either in Kaudulla or Eco National parks, according to Elephant migration patterns). The park is famous for its large elephant herds along with other wild animal sightings. This national park is one of the best places in the country to see wild elephants, which are often present in huge numbers. Dominated by the ancient Minneriya Wewa, the park has plenty of scrub, forest and wetlands in its 88.9 sq km to also provide shelter for toque macaques, sambar deer, buffalo, crocodiles and leopards. Retrun to the hotel.
